Derma Shield Plus help protect against…. blood, urine, saliva, germs, handling people with diseases and viruses. An added protection - when gloves are required. Eliminates Contact Dermatitis; a MUST for Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Pathologists, Lab Technicians, Para-Medics, Firefighters, etc.

The Products are manufactured under strict sanitary conditions in keeping with FDA standards.  An antimicrobial agent, (Triclosan) is included in the Derma Plus products formula, helping to control bacteria, virus and fungi presence

Health care workers, physicians, dentists, nurses and others are relying on the protection these products offer.  The effectiveness of skin barrier products in surgical scrub procedures is becoming widely acknowledged for protection of hands, face and other skin areas. 

The Products are advised for use to help protect the hands from the  irritations of gloves and talc, as well as providing secondary protection in the case of small holes in the gloves or if tears occur.  Simply apply the product, let it dry thoroughly, then proceed to perform tasks.  The products will stay bonded to the skin for approximately 4 hours.

IS DERMA SHIELD PLUS FDA APPROVED ?
The Product is listed with the FDA as an over-the-counter (OTC) drug.  The product is marketed according to the requirements of the FDA's Skin Protectant Monograph (21 CFR Part 347).

 

IF A CLINICIAN'S GLOVES SHOULD RIP AND BLOOD EXPOSURE SHOULD OCCUR, WHAT IS THE RISK LEVEL ?
Tests have been conducted which demonstrate that blood and all other body fluids are repelled by the film created by the Product.  Therefore, blood in direct contact with the skin is less likely to be absorbed and much more readily removed. The product could also protect those areas not covered by gloves (i.e. forearm, neck, face, etc.)

Once applied Derma Shield Plus will stay on your skin for 4 to 5 hours despite repeated washing. You don’t have to worry about removing it, as it will come off as your skin naturally sheds.
